LAS REINAS are women, musicians and performers that have created four different versions of a unique and powerful performance, with a warm and sensual scenic quality. The music of Las Reinas stands for the risk, the vanguard and the strength in the search for new ways of creation. Breaking Eggs is their new proposal: a gastronomic music-hall where they share their musical recipes they’ve been cooking through the show.

Breaking Eggs has been described as a gastrononic music hall. Las Reinas share with the audience the different recipes they are cooking.
All along the show, sometimes funny, sometimes sarcastic, sometimes surrealistic, Las Reinas provoque the audience at the same time that make them participate into this fresh, direct, theatrical and gastronomic proposal.
Music is the leading factor in this show. A sensual, dearing and ingenious performance where improvisation plays an important part. At the end of the show, artists and audience meet to share a chat and enjoy the food that has been cooked over the show. It is a show thought for all kinds of places, open air or indoors, and all kind of events.
Las Reinas are Mireia Tejero, saxo; Mercè Ros, drums; Dácil López, voice; Maddish Falzoni, acordeon; Maite Arilla, bass; and Viviane Calvitti, dance and little piano.

Las Reinas is a project which was formed and developed by Mireia Tejero, instigator of various formations which emphasize the creative role of women. Las Reinas is the latest project of this saxophonist and composer who, amongst other things, created the music for various shows by the dance company Sol Pico, like the acclaimed La dona manca o Barbie Superstar, DVA, Amor Diesel, Razona la Vaca... She has also lead all-women bands like Las Gambas and La Orquesta Tacón, has formed groups like Alius, cult band from the late '90's, and Error Genético with Marcel·lí Antúnez, and has created peformances like Una asesina de saxos, Bidón, La xocolata no engreixa, and many more...
The experience she gained working with Sol Picó in street and theatral performances, her performing vision and her history of leading bands, have given an individual musical vision and staging to this, her current show.
This project was born from the necessity of its creator to potentiate feminine creativity and translate the powerful world of women to the stage. The focus is largely musical but no limits are imposed on the performers, as musicians, actors or dancers, the idea being to maximise the potential of each artist and each medium.
Las Reinas opened their first show on the street, Las Reinas en la calle (The Queens on the street) at the Forum de las Culturas 2004. In 2005 they presented the music hall Saxo te quiero, saxo te mato (Saxo I love you, saxo I kill you) and a concert version of Las Reinas en la calle.
In December 2006 they created Breaking Eggs, a gastronomic show, which had the support Of Institut d’Industries Culturals of the Generalitat of Catalunya.
